A Sleepless Night
One sleepless night amidst frequent reports of bushfires spreading and destroying homes, habitats, lives and land, I drew the reality I wish existed. A small flame, calm and easily contained, hanging from some kindling collected by another sleepless person somewhere less smoggy than home.
There has been a lot of distressing imagery to process during these fires, not to mention the actual trauma experienced by those directly affected and so I wanted to contribute a piece of imagery that was hopeful while still allowing me to be able to process the things I was feeling as a result of the last few months of wild fires.
